Privacy Policy

The web app stores the meal plans, recipes, pantry items, and shopping lists you create, along with your account information (email and household profile). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

The Plately Auto Shopper extension is strictly opt-in. To use it you paste a connect token (a string beginning with plt_) into the extension popup. The extension uses that token to talk to plately.instarep.io on your behalf — nothing else authenticates it. The extension does not read browser cookies, sign in with OAuth, or run any analytics or telemetry.

The extension is only active on walmart.com, amazon.com, and costco.com. While filling a cart on Walmart or Amazon — or when you click the pill to save a product you are viewing on any of these sites — it sends the product IDs, search terms, and prices it observed back to Plately so your shopping list and catalog can reflect what was added or saved. Cart-filling runs only on Walmart and Amazon; on Costco the extension only offers the save-a-product pill. No other browsing activity is collected, transmitted, or stored.

• No browsing history outside Walmart, Amazon, and Costco product pages.
• No grocery payment card details — retailer checkout happens in your own browser session.
• No data sold or shared with advertisers.

Paid Plately subscriptions are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. When you start a trial or subscribe, Stripe securely collects and stores your payment details — Plately never sees or stores your full card number. We retain only non-sensitive billing status for your household (such as plan, trial and renewal dates, subscription status, and the total you have paid) so we can provide the service. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Your account data is stored in Supabase. To delete your account and household data — meal plans, lists, and settings — email admin@instarep.io and we'll remove it. To disconnect the extension, clear its stored token from the popup or uninstall it.
