Terms of Service

Plately helps your household plan meals, generate per-store shopping lists, and — optionally — add items to your cart at supported retailers using the Auto Shopper extension. Plately is provided on a subscription basis to a household, and members of a household share its data.

Plately is offered on a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period and the payment method on file is charged the then-current price for your plan. Applicable taxes may be added.

New households may start a 7-day free trial. We collect a payment method when the trial begins, but you are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged. You can cancel at any time during the trial from Settings → Billing.

You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, right inside the app. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time.

You agree to use Plately only for lawful, personal household purposes and not to resell, scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service, or to use it in a way that violates the terms of any retailer you connect to. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The Auto Shopper extension acts on your behalf to add items to your shopping cart at supported retailers. It never places an order, never completes checkout, and never sees or handles your payment details — you always review your cart and check out yourself. Retailer prices, availability, substitutions, and order fulfillment are outside our control, and you are responsible for reviewing your cart before purchasing. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.

Plately is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that meal plans, shopping lists, prices, or cart contents are accurate or complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plately's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including incorrect orders or charges by a retailer.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and continued use of Plately after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
